IPS Asia-Pacific (http://www.ipsnewsasia.net), the regional media foundation that is part of the IPS International Group (http://www.ips.org), is firmly grounded in the South and in the region.
With this scope, it seeks to report from within when looking at the impact of regional and global events and processes on countries and communities, and producing stories for the IPS World Service (http://www.ipsnews.net), its various regional news products and its bulletins in several Asian languages.
All this is in keeping with the role of the IPS international news network, formed in 1964, as an alternative voice amidst traditional, mainstream views, providing news and analyses on issues relevant to the global South.
IPS Asia-Pacific Center Foundation Inc is registered as a non-stock, non-profit foundation in Manila, the Philippines. It has offices and staff in Bangkok, Manila and New Delhi.
IPS Asia-Pacific receives funds from IPS International, and raises regional funding for media and communication projects from foundations, U.N. agencies and other development partners.
